Day 4 and the weather turns

Crikey what a day, 100 miles of relatively flat cycling, at quite a pace. Tale of two halves, first half absolutely soaking wet, and windy, tim had to bring out the gore Tex, of course RPJ had even better than gore Tex, his words not mine. Quote of the day came from db, who claimed his butt cheeks were as hard as nails and had zero fat?? Mmm check out the photos!

We did have a small drama on the way, tim was bored with the road riding and decided to take the scenic route, complete with a triple salko (spell), the fence can be repaired!! Very dramatic but thankfully no injuries, and amazed by the 13 cars that stopped to offer assistance. We have since fitted stabilisers to tim 's bike to prevent reoccurrence!

Great hotel tonight, the coachman in Hartford, well recommended if your up these parts. Tomorrow, 110 miles and the mighty shap pass, rising 1400 ft in a couple of miles, not a problem? It is when you have cycled 90 miles to get there!!

Anyway sublime to ridiculous after last nights debacle. Hope your enjoying blog, will update later!!
